Our Mission

1 Thessalonians 5:11 - "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

The mission of this blog is to do what Paul exhorts the church of Thessalonica to do . . . to encourage and build up one another in the faith.  This is one of the primary ways we show we love the body of Christ.  However, it isn't always easy.  We often resist being honest and transparent about the struggles we are facing.   It can be a scary thing to let people in, to be open and real, and to ask our fellow believers to keep us accountable.  Our pride and desire to be well-thought of can often keep us from experiencing the blessings of wise counsel, intercessory prayer, and encouragement to persevere in the faith.  

The truth is that we all struggle.  Although we have new life in Christ and the Holy Spirit to empower us, we still daily fight the flesh.  This is why Paul exhorts Timothy to "pursue righteousness" and "fight the good fight of faith" (1Timothy 6:11-12).  But, we were never meant to do this alone.  We have the body of Christ with whom we may share encouragement.  "But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness" (Hebrews 3:13).  

Through this blog, we desire to be transparent about our own struggles, what God is doing in us, and how He is growing us.  Additionally, we hope that this will foster honesty and openness among all of us as ladies in the college ministry.  Each week a different woman will post an entry with these goals in mind. 

We genuinely love you all, and our prayer is that through this blog Christ will "strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:16-19).
